American Mattress

We ordered a mattress on January 4, 2026, from the 349 E Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 store. Today is 5/4/26, no mattress. First, they said it would take about a month, then we were onto the second month, still no mattress. Then we were finally supposed to get the mattress in March. Now it's early May. They stopped responding to phone calls about a month ago. I wrote an email to their corporate office inquiring about the status of my order; no response from their 'customer service' team on that end either. Back in January, I stressed how important the mattress is to us because I have bad back pain from the work I used to do. Totally wasted our time.

Worst business practice I may have ever experienced. Purchased a mattress 7/16, told it would be delivered no later than 7/31. Which I thought was a real long time to wait, but reluctantly agreed and finished the purchase. Called 7/30 to get an exact time on 7/31 to be home and the person answering the phone mockingly relayed it isn't coming 7/31 and we'd be lucky to get it next week. Called corporate and they said the best they could do is give a range starting in about a week. They took a lot of money and still couldn't guarantee any delivery date and never took it upon themselves to contact me. I had to do all this myself. They were willing to bury this and just hope for weeks I'd sit around for a box with springs in it.

Worked with Larry at the Arlington Heights location. He is professional, knowledgeable, helpful, experienced and I felt confident with his recommendations. In addition to settling me on my new Tempurpedic, he straightened out the order my son has with American Mattress with most agreeable terms. This is my third purchase with American Mattress Arlington Heights in the past 16 years. Total satisfaction. I definitely recommend. Should add that my new mattress arrived on the date promised and the delivery team from American Mattress was also professional, friendly and impressive.
