Avocado Green Mattress - Natural & Organic Mattresses - La Jolla

My experience with Avocado has been absolutely INSANE in the worst way. I ordered a mattress from them during the Labor Day sale and then proceeded to not hear from them for a month and finally came to find out that they LOST our mattress. Oh, and did I mention they have been giving me the run around for a month and a half now with no willingness to help compensate or give back anything to help alleviate the stress of all this. In fact, I was told if I want to cancel the order I STILL have to pay a refund fee. WILD. Do not trust this company any more and would give 0 stars if I could.

We have loved Avocado products for years and are so glad they have a local showroom. Nessa helped us out right away and was not pushy and gave us space to look around. She was super helpful, knowledgeable and went the extra step by moving everything around to let us try a topper on different mattresses. I would highly recommend Avocado to anyone looking for chemical free bedding, and the service at the showroom is top notch.

I visited the La Jolla Avocado Mattress store and was very satisfied with the help I received from Sheraya, Nessa, and Sarah. I spent hours researching a non-toxic, high-quality mattress, which led me to Avocado. The entire staff went out of their way to help me with the two king toppers I purchased for myself and my Mom. They helped me through the process and in buying the Avocado Green Mattress in Standard, which is a perfect firmness for the support I prefer. The girls also helped me return other items I had purchased for a king set up after finding that the foam inside the mattress was destroyed and disintegrating into yellow dust. I am so happy with my mattress and with my decision to choose Avocado Matress brand. Thank you!

The topper has been a lifesaver! No more hip or shoulder pain. It’s unlike any topper I’ve ever had. And customer service goes above and beyond. Nessa is proactive, reaching out to make sure everything is going well and asking if there’s anything she can do. She even reminded me that it was time to rotate the topper. Truly an amazing company with top tier products and service.

Disappointed After 2 Years – Warranty is Misleading I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share this experience for potential buyers. When I purchased the mattress, the sales rep assured me it was the best on the market, with an exceptional warranty. Unfortunately, after just two years, the mattress began to sag significantly, making it uncomfortable to sleep on and causing back pain. I submitted a warranty claim, and while the representative was polite, my claim was denied. The reason? I was using a box spring that wasn’t on their approved list — something I was never informed about during the purchase. Even though the box spring was in great condition, they wouldn’t accept it. To make matters worse, I was told the mattress needs to sag at least 1.5 inches for the warranty to apply. Mine had already sagged 0.8 inches, which was enough to cause serious discomfort — but apparently not enough for a claim. So essentially, I’d need to continue sleeping in pain just to meet their threshold. In my opinion, a premium mattress like Avocado should last longer than two years without sagging. And the “great warranty” they promote turned out to be full of fine print and unreasonable conditions. I suggest looking into other options and reading their warranty policy carefully before committing to this brand.
