Bob’s Discount Furniture and Mattress Store

I was disappointed by the up-charges that were slipped into my bill. I was buying a sectional, and was told that the sectional was customizable based on my needs. I needed one side of the sectional without an armrest so it would fit up against a wall and the other side with an arm rest. They charged me $150 extra to have one side without an armrest. “$150 extra for less couch?” I asked. Yes, that’s how it works. The sectional was then delivered without an armrest on either end. The loveseat end that was in the open was missing fabric where the armrest was supposed to go. When I called the store to see about picking up the arm rest that I needed, I spent about an hour in total speaking to multiple customer service representatives who spoke limited English and received a variety of conflicting information. I was ultimately charged $99 for the armrest, and it wouldn’t be available for pick up for another 9 days. Supposedly, armrests are not included with “right armrest facing loveseats” and it was a custom order. So, to summarize, you need to pay extra to not have an armrest and you also need to pay extra to have an armrest. What?!? Aside from the shady business practices, my experience was great. The salesman, Antonio, was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The delivery men, Alexander and his partner, were kind and efficient. The customer service representatives kept their cool when I was losing mine. The sectional is comfortable and attractive, and was the only one that I could find locally that fit well in my small space.

Not only are you an outstanding salesperson, you’re also an incredibly compassionate and caring human being. My husband and I went in to look at — and hopefully purchase — a new sectional. Matt walked us through several options, never made us feel pressured, and gave us the space we needed to make the right decision. What meant even more to us was the genuine interest he showed when he learned what my husband used to do prior to his illness and double lung transplant. Matt was so kind, sincere, and truly engaged in the conversation. As we were leaving after making our purchase, he made a point to wish my husband well, which meant more than he probably realized. This is exactly the kind of employee Bob’s should be proud to have on their team. Keep doing what you’re doing, Matt D.! We will absolutely be back to see you — 100%!

We had an amazing experience with Leandra and Monica! Leandra spent so much time with us to ensure we selected what we wanted. No pressure and she had the patience of a Saint answering all our questions. . Monica assisted as well and helped with our check out to speed up the process. She also answered questions we had with regard add to item specifications. We are so appreciative that Bobs employs such an amazing team. The one star was for the product not the sales process. It's unfair to Liz that her product people did a bad job when she did a great job. She was super helpful and gave some solid advice in recommending which chairs to purchase. So she did the best she could and if other people step up they could be better. I wasn't even considering Bobs as I haven't been a customer in a very long time. Good sales process, terrible delivery execution maybe even good product. 4 chairs 3 sets of hardware. Could have been perfect except it's a perfect failure. How hard is it to simply put all the stuff in the box. Impossible I guess. Was a great experience and now I'm just frustrated and unhappy. Congratulations been 15 years since I've shopped at Bobs and I guess that wasn't quite long enough.

It's a nice place and the staff are great. The quality of the furniture is not what we were looking for. We were interested in upscale furniture. Bob's is a discount furniture store. There's nothing wrong with that and it's budget friendly if you're trying to save on cost. They have good furniture for families who have young children or just starting out with a new place to live.
