Have made purchases here on several occasions over the past 30 years. We’re currently in the market for some furniture, so we decided to stop in and see what they have.
I’ve always been impressed with both the selection and the sales staff. They’re extremely helpful without being pushy. This visit was no different. We found several excellent options and had a very positive experience.
We’re still checking out a few other places before making a final decision, but I’m glad we stopped in.
P.S. Good furniture is expensive, but in most cases, you get what you pay for.

First time coming to the Greenfield store and I had the most pleasant experience with Sequoia. Even though she was new to this, she was highly professional, very informed and warm and friendly. I had no idea that Penny Mustard had so many options. I will definitely be back with the wife.

Jessica did an amazing job helping us with our living room re-do. She has a keen eye for putting furniture, rugs and accent pieces together. Their product line, delivery staff and customer service is outstanding.
Have done business with them in the past and will continue with them in the future.

TLDR: Customer service leaves something to be desired, follow through with requests not completed, and a general lack of care all observed during the 9 month journey to receive an un-damaged couch...but even the 2nd one is damaged. In my opinion, based on my interactions and observations, these are all internal issues with Penny Mustard and have nothing to do with the furniture manufacturer. Penny Mustard is a furniture broker, the whole point of the business is customer service and they are not doing a great job.
My wife and I have purchased about $30,000 worth of furniture from Penny Mustard and this last piece is the last one we will be buying from Penny Mustard.
In 2020 we purchased a leather reclining sofa and 2 leather reclining chairs, everything went smoothly and the delivery people were careful and courteous.
Fast forward to the first week in July 2025...we are in the market for a sleeper sofa. Figured we were happy with the last experience with Penny Mustard, so we went back. Found a couch we liked, got the color we wanted, confirmed the order, and put down our deposit. Couch was ready by fall and scheduled for delivery. Upon arrival the delivery team found damage on the leather couch, in my opinion, from not being secured/protected during transport. I refused the delivery. Penny Mustard scheduled a "technician" to "fix" the damage in September of 2025. When I was notified that the damage was repaired, I requested to see it in person...good thing too, the "repair" was the equivalent of spray painting the couch. The damaged area was visible and the over spray from the paint/dye was rough at best. I told Penny Mustard I would not be accepting the couch...it is a $17000 couch, it should not be damaged or poorly repaired, in my opinion. Penny Mustard advised me that they would work with the manufacturer to replace the damaged panel. I did not hear from them again until I reached out November 3rd asking for an update. I was told the repair was going to take place in November and was rescheduled for delivery. Before the delivery date, I was contacted again by Penny Mustard and was told there was an issue with the legs and fitment of those legs to the couch. After a couple of weeks, I reached out again and expressed my concern with the entire process, I was also highly skeptical of the legs now being the only issue...legs can be overnighted and attached in minutes...why weeks? Red flag number 27 and I was done. I expressed my displeasure and Phil from Penny Mustard reaches out and says he is going to do what needs to be done to keep this purchase together. Great! Sounds like someone is taking responsibility, I tell Phil I would like the couch remade and a protection plan that they offer at the time of the sale, gratis. Phil says, we'll remake it, let me get back to you on the protection plan request....I never hear from Phil again. Still haven't and even if I did at this point, there is nothing to discuss. February 25, 2026...9 months later out couch is being delivered. I am present and observing the delivery, cushions are loose in the back of the truck and dirty, delivery guy in the truck throwing the cushions and backs to the guy out of the truck, not completely careless but it is a small miracle nothing was scuffed/damaged at the time. Front door was left open every time they went in or out of the house. I would have treated a couch I bought on Marketplace with more care....and the kicker to the whole thing is that there is still damage to the new couch from improper strapping. Luckily, it is in a not visible spot when the sleeper is closed. I would not recommend to anyone I know.

My wife and I retired a few years back and decided to spend a little extra money on some of the furniture that we needed. We wanted to have quality products that would last. We decided to splurge on a Penny Mustard bedroom set, with Bedtech lifts and the top of the line mattress. The whole 9 yds for a better night's sleep. We met Jenine Opala at the Greenfield location who helped us find exactly what we were looking for. There is no doubt this is not the cheap way to go and basically on the high-end of any other furniture that I've ever purchased before, and I had my doubts whether that was worth it or not. I can tell you now from experience that it was worth every "penny". Not only was the furniture of the highest quality that I've ever had, but we did have a few issues with the comfort of our mattress and had a small issue with the Bedtech lifts. This was when we had the pleasure of meeting with Tom Clark in their service department. Tom helped us with the exchange of our mattress about a year ago which was a great experience, and now a year later he helped us solve the problem with our Bedtech lifts. The difference between Penny Mustard, and other stores that we purchased from in the past was that they stand behind their product! Tom made sure they corrected our issues extremely quickly and efficiently, and at no cost to us. This included picking up and delivering our mattress exchange, and now having service technicians come to our house to repair/exchange the Bedtech lift that wasn't working properly. I now recommend Penny Mustard to anyone that wants to get furniture that will last a lifetime and can also be passed on to your family. Because that's just how good it is! I would also recommend the Greenfield location where Jenine Opal and Tom Clark work, for the best customer service I've ever experienced anywhere! It is true you get what you pay for. Thanks again, Jenny and Tom you guys are the best.
