Purple - Santa Monica Place

THIS IS NOT A LAWFUL IN-STORE PURCHASE POLICY I went to the Purple store in Santa Monica intending to make a purchase and left without buying. I was told that providing my name and email address was required to complete the purchase and receive a warranty, and that the store does not have a printer, so a paper receipt could not be provided. Only a digital receipt was offered. When I questioned this, the staff member laughed and dismissed the concern as unreasonable. Under California law, a retailer may not require the collection of personal identifying information as a condition of completing a retail transaction. A customer must be able to pay and receive proof of purchase without being forced to provide personal data. A physical retail store selling expensive items should also be able to provide a receipt. Requiring an emailed receipt because the store “does not have a printer” is not reasonable. This would be like a grocery store refusing to give you a receipt unless you agree to receive it by email. This was not a misunderstanding. It was a policy choice, and the reaction when it was questioned. I was ready to buy and chose not to because a normal, lawful purchase was not possible.

I want to personally thank Dominique who greeted us and showed us around the store. She was absolutely great, friendly and professional. She informed us on how each bed model and pricing worked. Will definitely itley be back when it’s time to purchase. And Aaron was a great help as well.

Was at the Santa Monica mall the day after Black Friday when I stumbled upon this store on the second floor. The lady in front was holding a pillow and asked how well I'm sleeping and I was like "tbh sometimes not at all" lol so she asked if I wanted to come inside to check out their products. Coincidentally, I had been looking into buying a good and comfortable pillow for side sleepers because I have trouble falling asleep. Initially was eyeing the pillow cube since their ads are all over IG but after extensive research I learned that the best pillow for side sleepers is one with adjustable fill. My gf and I were greeted by Casey and I inquired if they have an adjustable fill pillow and he introduced me to the Purple Freeform. Tried it in store and no joke it's one of the best pillows I've ever tried! We went ahead and purchased one because 1) it's comfortable and 2) all the people I interacted with at the store were warm, welcoming, and nice and my pillow just got here and I'm so happy we got it! Most likely going to purchase a mattress from them too in a year or two (my current mattress is only 3 years old but I reallyyyy like theirs). Thanks Casey for being super helpful and selling me the pillow that day. I love it!

We loved this products and the whole experience. Casey was so patient with us explaining and recommending the best option for us. Will definitely come back for some more Purple products.

Entering the Purple mattress store was a truly relaxing experience. The sleek, modern design of the showroom immediately put me at ease, and the soft, inviting atmosphere made me want to take a nap right then and there. Our sleep expert, Casey, was a delight to work with. He greeted us with a warm smile and immediately made us feel at ease. He took the time to understand our individual sleeping preferences and expertly guided us through the various Purple pillow options. Don’t sleep on this place💯😴
