I want to warn other customers before they make the same mistake I did. I purchased two sofas from this store one month ago — one sleeper and one regular sofa. The sleeper is fine, but the other one has already started sinking and feels unstable and uncomfortable. A brand-new sofa should not lose its shape in just a few weeks. I trusted this store and expected good quality, but I am extremely disappointed. This is clearly a manufacturing defect. I hope the store contacts me to replace this defective sofa, because based on my experience, I cannot recommend buying furniture here until they take responsibility for their products.

I would give 0 Stars if I could. DISGUSTING discrimination at Raymour & Flanigan.
Walked in CASH IN HAND ready to drop thousands. Was I greeted? Acknowledged? Looked at like a human being? NO.
Every employee in that store saw us. They looked right at us, then went back to laughing and gossiping with each other. We walked the ENTIRE showroom. Not one “hello.” Not one “can I help you.” We were invisible.
But here’s where it gets nasty: We watched other customers walk in and get welcomed like royalty. Then a Bengali Muslim family walks in. Suddenly a Bengali employee materializes out of nowhere “Assalamu Alaykum brother yes I understand Bangla! how are you doing” and escorts them in like VIPs.
We were WALKING OUT the door while he was kissing up to them. The message was loud and clear: If you’re not part of their club, you don’t matter. Your money doesn’t matter. YOU don’t matter.
This isn’t bad customer service. This is blatant, selective, race-based treatment. Now I understand every single 1 star Yelp review. This store is a joke. The management should be ashamed.

Raymour & Flannigan Fairfield NJ
I had an excellent experience working with Vangel while shopping for furniture. From the moment I walked in, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on helping me find exactly what I needed rather than just making a sale.
Vangel took the time to understand my space, style, and budget, and he showed me options that were perfect for what I was looking for. He was extremely patient while answering all of my questions and explaining the differences between the pieces. His professionalism and honesty made the whole process easy and stress-free.
What really stood out was how attentive and helpful he was throughout the entire experience. He made sure every detail was taken care of and that I felt confident in my purchase. It’s rare to find someone who combines product knowledge with such great customer service.
If you’re looking for furniture and want someone who truly cares about helping you find the right pieces, I highly recommend asking for Vangel. Five-star service all the way!

Worst Customer Experience Ever,
I am writing to share what has been, without question, one of the worst retail experiences of my life with Raymour & Flanigan.
After purchasing a dining room table, within just five months it began falling apart—despite also paying for an extended warranty. The table became unstable, constantly shifting and unsafe to use. Multiple service visits were scheduled, but each “repair” lasted no more than 24 hours before the same issues returned.
Frustrated, my family and I went to the Fairfield, New Jersey showroom to speak directly with management. That decision turned out to be another disappointment. We were told the only way to resolve the issue was to purchase another table—out of pocket—while the credit from the defective one could only be applied toward a different item. This policy felt extremely unfair and misleading.
With limited time and needing a functional table, we selected another model—the only one that suited our needs—which happened to be a floor model in excellent condition at the showroom. However, when it was delivered, it arrived severely damaged.
After contacting customer service again and dealing with multiple broken promises, we were initially told the table would not be replaced because it was a floor model—even though that was exactly what we had agreed to purchase based on its showroom condition.
A few days later, we were offered a replacement, supposedly a special-order item. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was in even worse condition than the previous one—again unstable and unusable. To make matters worse, we had already paid nearly double compared to the original purchase, and we still have not received any refund. Instead, we are left with store credit we are unwilling to use given this experience.
This entire situation has been exhausting, frustrating, and incredibly disappointing—especially for my family. What should have been a simple furniture purchase turned into a stressful ordeal. Even my children could sense something was wrong during our time in the showroom.
I have purchased furniture from other retailers, including Ashley Furniture, and have never experienced anything close to this level of poor quality, lack of accountability, and customer service failure.
This will absolutely be my first and last purchase with this company. We are currently furnishing a new home and will be taking our business elsewhere.
I strongly advise others to be cautious. If I could give zero stars, I would.
This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.

My sales person, Tee was excellent and knowledgeable. He was able to get me the best deal possible. He was patient and kind. I really appreciate everything Tee did to help with finding the furniture I needed.
